We love the aesthetic of this cabin! We also like the second floor modern wraparound deck. The ladder, and the tall/narrow windows on the rear are super cool. We appreciate staying within the overall square footage, but it's a little long for our build site. Also, we're concerned that this plan is a little too complicated for the remoteness of the build site, and would go over our budget.
Great job - this offered some great inspiration!
Really great design
My favorite plan. Very well done! Love the video too.
The solution is aesthetically beautiful but is slightly less functional than other submissions due to our deer problem. Things like the arbor need to fall within the fenced area, for example. Overall, very beautiful, simple and clean.
Wow.. nice graphic material ! Do you have any ideas for the water closet? Could you provide others idea for the kitchen and the entrance?
excellent design - really paid attention to the photos of inspiration
The submission met the project objectives delivering the required space. Although sunroom appears to be tight with the placement of furniture and the location of the external door.
Beautiful and well done!
Should have retail setores on the ground floor. It would be perfect.
This whimsical design really captures the fantasy element like none other. Absolutely wonderful. The internal floor plans are interesting, but would need to be adjusted somewhat. I know that this was a late signup and had limited time to complete. I am extremely curious as to what it could have looked like if there had been more time for the designer. We have not decided which house we will actually build. Please send your contact information to email@example.com if you'd be willing to perform additional follow-on work. Thanks again for participating in this competition.
This design provided an interesting way to tackle the request for more storage without radically configuring the space. The idea to use open-shelving or cabinetry different from the rest of the kitchen on the same wall as the washer/dryer effectively creates a new functional area rather than simply a kitchen with a lot of storage. The biggest shortfall of this design is that it sacrifices a bit too much countertop for storage. An additional concern is whether the finishes and materials shown (extensive bathroom tiling, the lighting installation above the vanity) would still be within the construction budget.
Really like the cabinet on the wall of the toilet/bidet - use of the space over them is appreciated, as well as the cabinet on the wall where the oversized entry door was. The tub enclosure was very appealing, as well as the cabinetry inside.
Goes easily with our own concepts and provides images for contractor to work from.
Our team likes this a lot. In fact, we would like to take it to the Historic Review Board and see if they will approve it. The architect locally who will do that would like the Google Sketch Up files, if you could send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. At the current time I've reviewed most of these designs and think we'd like you to go forward with us, if you're available. There are 2-3 extras we would like but overall, we think the design with the slatted horizontal look is most appealing, not the swiss cheese or the treatment to the front and back brick. Are you free to sell us some of your time to refine this for the next steps. Please contact at my email above.
